My Baby Just Cares For Me - Nina Simone

Image
My baby don't care for shows My baby don't care for clothes My baby just cares for me My baby don't care for cars and races My baby don't care for high-tone places Liz Taylor is not his style And even Lana Turner's smile Is somethin' he can't see My baby don't care who knows My baby just cares for me Baby, my baby don't care for shows And he don't even care for clothes He cares for me My baby don't care For cars and races My baby don't care for He don't care for high-tone places Liz Taylor is not his style And even Liberace's smile Is something he can't see Is something he can't see I wonder what's wrong with baby My baby just cares for My baby just cares for My baby just cares for me

Think of Me - The Phantom of The Opera by Andrew Lloyd Webber

Image
Think of me, think of me fondly When we've said goodbye Remember me, once in a while Please, promise me you'll try When you find that once again you long To take your heart back and be free If you ever find a moment Spare a thought for me We never said "our love was evergreen" Or "as unchanging as the sea" But if you can still remember, Stop and think of me Think of all the things We've shared and seen Don't think about the Things which might have been Think of me, think of me waking Silent and resigned Imagine me trying too hard To put you from my mind Recall those days, look back on all those times Think of the things we'll never do There will never be a day When I won't think of you

Long Gone Day - Mad Season

Image
So much blood I'm starting to drown It runs from cold to colder Time to time the sky's coming down And help me lose my way Tears and lies for answers You and open veins; God knows I'm gone Girl I just want you to Come on down Lord it's a storm and I'm heading to fall These sins are mine and I've done wrong Oh, babe, come on down Long gone day Oh whoever said we wash away with the rain See you all from time to time Isn't it so strange how far away we all are now? Am I the only one who remembers that summer? Oh I remember everyday each time the place was saved The music that we made The wind has carried all of that away Long gone day Mmmm, whoever said we wash away with the rain So many tears I'm starting to drown The rain in heaven's all come down Silver spoons affix the crown The luckless ones are broken Tears and lies for answers You an open flame God knows I'm gone Girl, I just want you to Come on down Lord there's a storm and I'm he

Taylor, the Latte Boy - Kristin Chenoweth

Image
There's a boy who works at Starbucks Who is very inspirational He is very inspirational because of many things I come in at 8:11 And he smiles and says: "How are you?" When he smiles and says: "How are you?" I could swear my heart grows wings! So today at 8:11 I decided I should meet him I decided I should meet him In a proper formal way So today at 8:11 When he smiled and said: "How are you?" I said: "Fine, and my name’s Kristin, " And he softly answered: "Hey." And I said "My name’s Kristin And thank you for the extra foam..." And he said his name was Taylor Which provides the inspiration for this poem: Taylor, the latte boy Bring me java, bring me joy! Taylor, the latte boy I love him, I love him, I love him So I’d like to get my nerve up To recite my poem musical He would like the fact it’s musical Because he plays guitar So today at 8:11 Taylor told me he was playing In a band down in the village In the basement
